Application Software

In business since 1991, Coast to Coast Signal Engineering has provided software programming and design for some of the most complex signaled interlockings in the country. Our team has met the most difficult challenges and continues to be the highest rated signal design contractor by several Class 1 railroads. It is this experience, dedication to quality and overall “know-how” that makes Coast to Coast Signal Engineering your logical first choice for application software development, design and testing.

Each application software program written by Coast to Coast Signal Engineering must undergo rigorous quality assurance and testing procedures. All software is thoroughly tested by our test engineers in our state of the art test laboratory. Our extensive array of equipment allows us to simulate an entire project for end to end testing, just as it would be installed in the field. This allows us the unique capability of realistic recreation of existing locations and tie-ins to existing or older signal systems, as well as representation of completely new signal systems and how they interface to the location being tested. Each test is simulated using actual field conditions to ensure all possible scenarios are identified and to ensure all circuits are operating as intended.

From small end of siding locations to major interlockings, the Coast to Coast Signal Engineering team can provide whatever application software is needed to ensure a complete project done right the first time. When field changes are required at cutovers they are very expensive and inefficient, costing the customer precious lost man hours and delays. Those problems are just a memory with Coast to Coast Signal Engineering’s application software! While most railroads require a contract programmer on-site to support signal cutovers and make changes when defects are found seldom, if ever, are we asked to provide on-site support for our software during cutovers. Although we offer this service, our customers have found this is not needed. WHY? Because we get it right the first time!
